In November my brother-in-law went the be with the Lord. His wife, Abby had a photo of him fishing which, as soon as I saw it, I wanted to paint it. This morning I read this in Proverbs 10:7 "The memory of the righteous will be a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot." I immediately thought of Gregg and the painting I just finished. If you knew him, you will know what I mean. If you did not know him, you have missed a blessing. He was a fine man, brother, father and husband. His memory is a blessing. I painted this for his wife.
Tuesday night watercolor class was canceled because of the snowstorm. I was disappointed because I had decided on this lovely picture of my son's cat, Chloe. Chloe originally belonged to my daughter who couldn't take her to Germany when she moved (Chloe cannot drive across town without having a meltdown) so she came to life with my son and his wife. This is a picture I took at my house when I was "cat-sitting". Isn't she cute, looking out the window? I decided to paint her last night on rice paper for a different look than the one we will do for class next week. |
