"An apple in June is a perfect apple for June. It is the best that June can produce. But it is very different from the apple in October, which is a perfected apple. Be patient."
And so my fellow-artists, hear me….Be patient; good art takes time!
This painting may not be new to some of you… if you took my watercolor class on September 12 in Wabash, Indiana you painted a similar image. I was encouraged and humbled by the fine artists that came to learn from my teaching and this is the painting that I started that day. It has taken me awhile to finish it. Here it is. "An apple in June is a perfect apple for June. It is the best that June can produce. But it is very different from the apple in October, which is a perfected apple. Be patient." And so my fellow-artists, hear me….Be patient; good art takes time! |
