I have always heard that you should paint what you know and see......so.....This is it Folks! I live in Indiana and this is what I see. God has blessed me with eyes to appreciate beauty where ever I find it. I will admit that I still miss the tropical scenes I grew up with in Sierra Leone, West Africa. But I have grown a new love for the Mid-west landscape. I give that to you today. Thank you for stopping by my blog......Please let me know what you think.
I think I shall call this painting...FINISHED! I love the colors and Mid-west/farmland feel of this. Years ago, when I was just starting my painting career, I thought that I needed to live somewhere exotic to be a great painter. Some place where there were romantic sunsets and bold, vibrant colorful flowers. I should like to ask myself now, "Is there anything else quite so pretty as cows in a field or standing beside a beautiful red barn that could turn your head and catch your eye?!"
