Thursday, September 12, I taught a watercolor class in Wabash, Indiana for the Wabash Art Guild. It was an all day class at the Christian Church. We painted one of my favorite subjects….APPLES! We had a wonderful time! If you are interested in scheduling a class with me send me an email at [email protected] An antique kerosene lantern, a worn and well-read Bible, reading glasses and a cup of coffee all spread out on a red and white checkered table cloth. What does this little scene say to you? Do you know someone who may have just been there? Could it have been you? I was raised in West Africa on the mission field where we did not have electricity much of the time. Many were the days we read by kerosene lantern. This could have been the table where my father read, then left to go work at the medical dispensary, fix a some broken machinery or work with one of the Africans in our local town. When you decide what to paint, put some thought behind it. That will make your work of art much more a part of you. This painting is for sale on my web site.
