I have taken the challenge to paint a painting for every day I the month of January.....30 in 30! This is an overwhelming commitment for me and I need every ounce of determination I can muster up to complete the task. I will be posting the paintings here as I finish each one. Please enjoy the show and be aware that all of the paintings are for sale! This is the latest painting from my studio. Things Left Undone. We all have those things in our lives. "Man may work from sun to sun, but a woman's work is never done" ....so the old saying goes. My friend Rachel said it sweetly in a comment on my FaceBook post when I shared this image..."Makes me think of things left undone. 😀 not being sarcastic. Just that in life there are things more important than laundry, dishes, cleaning. Time with the Lord, spouse, children, parents. In the end, what counts in eternity? I'm fine leaving things undone if needed. Love your work!" She was 'spot on' with her comment and the thoughts in my head as I painted this. Going one step further, there are things that should not be "left undone" in our lives. A kind word---An apology---A birthday wish---A coffee date with a friend---A time to read God's Word---A walk in the park---A chance to smell the roses---A smile---A prayer---A praise to our Heavenly Father---A completing of a difficult task---A much needed nap! This list could go on and on! Evaluate your time and see what could be left undone and what important things need to be done today. Thank you for stopping by..... |
